This is a specialised 12 week evergreen coaching program. It allows for a flexible approach to accessing the program. The Q&A and coaching sessions through the program allow you to check-in with the therapist coach to work on specific aspects of the program and gain additional insight.

  • Lifetime access to materials.
  • flexible access
  • £1250 for program

This is for those who are ready to actively work on habit and behaviour change over the 12 weeks. In this program, we provide some information on how trauma can impact but do not explore emotional dysregulation or unprocessed trauma (if you would like to do this, then we would recommend individual therapy first).

Coaching is a focus on now and into the future, where you partner with your coach who takes the role of your accountability partner.

Finding Therapy

Therapy or Coaching?

Both coaching & therapy share some approaches but there are some key differences that can help you to think about what might be best for you.

Both support you in identifying strengths & weaknesses and in overcoming challenges or obstacles that you face.

Therapy:

  • support emotional processing & thoughts in relation to past & current challenges.
  • uses modalities (the underpinning theory and approach) that they are trained in to support you in overcoming challenges  issues.
  • Is best when your needs relate to past trauma & adverse experiences
  • can work with unprocessed emotional
  • can support you to work through periods where you are struggling with progressing & help you to notice & identify blocks & barriers.
  • can be short-term or long term

There's a bit more about therapy below this section.

Coaching:

  • focus on leveraging person strengths to achieve identified goals
  • focus on present & future
  • though some limited consideration will be given to emotion, does not work with processing emotions, especially any past traumas or adversity
  • time limited, usually a set number of weeks (e.g 6 or 12)
  • you are ready & willing to do the activities, make that changes and be in control of working through the program.

It's important to be aware that therapist are trained to work with and support you in your mental health & wellbeing needs, there are different types of therapist which is why you might notice different styles in how they talk about or work with you in therapy. Coaches do not need to go through this same type of professional development, depending on why you want to see a coach their experience can vary, for example some business coaches are those who have had experience of working in business but do not necessarily have training in mental health - this is really important to be aware of if you are seeking support around an issue like imposter syndrome or stress  anxiety in the workplace.

At Kala Adeona all our therapists & coaches are therapy trained with additional coaching training.

Within the initial consultation we can chat to you more if you are unsure which approach you want to take.

What makes Therapy the right step to take...

It is understandable to have some nervousness or uncertainty. Give yourself a moment and ask yourself what you think about therapy, if you really don't want to go, it might not be for you at this time. Usually if you are experiencing challenges with regulating your emotions or feeling like you're struggling and you know you need some help then therapy may be the right support for you, even if you feel uncertain about why.

  •  We offer an initial consultation, which is a free 15 to 20 minute session, this gives you time to find out more about us & talk to us about what is going on for you. If therapy is the right step we can book you in.

It can be useful to ask yourself what you want from therapy, this helps identify the type of therapy approach that is right for you. We can then discuss this with you.

In therapy there are a range of ways to explore the emotions and challenges that are impacting you. This may be about exploring the past, giving you time and space to talk about the things you want to share, where this feels helpful to you. It is important for us to say here that you can work through challenges and past trauma without having to go into detail about things that have happened to you, this may feel like a strange thing to say. The ability to work through how emotions & thoughts are impacting in the present allows you to begin to process the past emotions, thoughts & memories differently, giving you a sense of mental wellbeing in your present and into your future.

  • Therapy is usually weekly or fortnightly sessions
  • Individual sessions are 50 minutes, this may be extended to 90 minutes if this is appropriate for you. For couples & any group therapy sessions are 60 to 90 minutes.
YES, I'm ready to take the next step!
